Responsibilities
Copper Hills Youth Center is a / 7 secure residential treatment center (behavioral health) for male and female adolescents aged through . We counsel, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Our goal is to provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.
Job Description :
Behavioral Health Technicians serve as a positive role model for youth while providing close supervision and documenting behaviors. Must be a team player and recognize the importance of this position to positive student outcomes. Will ensure that students are meeting defined daily goals, including hygiene, unit activities, education & therapy meetings, etc. Will intervene during student crisis as necessary by using verbal de-escalation skills and other personal safety techniques. Facilitation of group interactions and ensuring students are behaving according to standards. By using positive verbal skills, educate students on appropriate behavior and possible consequences, and enact consequences if needed.
The shifts for Behavioral Health Technicians are :
AM :
Sunday - Thursday 7am - 3pm
Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 3pm
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7am to 3pm
Swing :
Sunday - Thursday pm - 0pm
Tuesday - Saturday pm - 0pm
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday pm to 0pm

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum years old
Excellent Verbal Communication Skills
Must be able to work effectively in a team and possible high stress environment
Effective problem solving skills
Ability to effectively manage conflict
Must have excellent attendance record
