  • About The Job

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. In this role, you will be part of a team that is driving our safety management and performance within our logistics operations. This role will involve partnering with our Global Cloud Logistics (GCL) organization and outsourced service partners to develop and implement a safe working environment and proactive safety culture. This role will allow for daily involvement in operations to identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve overall safety performance within the warehouse and data center environment. You will be responsible for scoping, phasing, and leading ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, ensuring alignment of senior stakeholders. You will also provide additional support and project management oversight to new and critical EHS initiatives to continue to create and iterate our EHS programs. You define problem solving and risk-mitigation strategies and drive engineering / innovation initiatives to reduce risks. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

    Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate operational EHS risks, assessing the impact to the business.
  • Partner with Global Cloud Logistics (GCL) third Party Logistics Vendors to drive continuous safety improvements and create safety programs.
  • Develop EHS standards and requirements for vendor contracts and operations.
  • Review incident investigations submitted by vendors and communicate learning / corrective and preventive actions across the business to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct and manage assessments of existing EHS programs to ensure alignment with our regional strategy, including analysing EHS business risks and identifying, describing, and estimating efficiencies to be gained through established programs.
