About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Diagnostic Imaging

Specialty : Ultrasound Technologist General ab / ob small parts

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Rotating

Hours per Shift : Guaranteed hours to be determined

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience required

License : Must be ARDMS registered or obtain within one year of hire

Certifications : Must be BLS certified within 60 days of hire and maintain throughout employment

Must-Have : Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent required.

Description :

Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests and ultrasound studies.

Involves patient positioning, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings.

Performs general ultrasound procedures.

Assists radiologists with ultrasound procedures.

Provides verbal reports to radiologists and other providers.

Handles other duties as assigned.

One year of hospital experience preferred.

Registered ARRT(R) preferred.

Experienced in non-invasive vascular and echocardiography exams preferred.

Will cross-train in Echo / Stress Echo and non-invasive vascular exams.

Possesses excellent customer service skills including a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy, and a professional attitude.

Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers, and the public verbally and in writing.

Demonstrates effective listening skills.

Exhibits excellent organization and time management skills.

Ability to establish priorities effectively.

Possesses exceptional problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.

Ability to learn new computer software programs.

Recognizes and protects confidential information.

Demonstrates ethical and legal accountability for the position.
