This is onsite from day-1 ( Need only local consultants )

Description :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, rack, cable, and decommission servers, storage devices, and network equipment.
  • Perform routine hardware diagnostics, replacements, and upgrades (e.g., hard drives, memory, NICs).
  • Monitor and manage environmental conditions, including power, cooling, and humidity levels.
  • Perform inventory management, including asset tagging, tracking, and updating system records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware failures, connectivity issues, and cabling problems.
  • Support remote teams by performing physical tasks per instruction (e.g., console access, power cycling).
  • Maintain cleanliness and cable management standards in the data center.
  • Assist with on-call rotation and respond to incidents during and outside of normal working hours.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with data center security policies.
  • Document changes and maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents.

Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+) or associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a data center, IT support, or similar hands-on technical role.
  • Familiarity with server hardware, network devices, and structured cabling standards (Cat5e / 6, fiber).
  • Experience with basic IP networking, patch panels, and console server access.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Ability to lift / move up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts, and occasional weekends or holidays.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with data center infrastructure monitoring tools (DCIM).
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices or ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Knowledge of enterprise hardware from vendors like Dell, Client, Cisco, or Juniper.
  • Understanding of power systems (PDUs, UPS) and cooling infrastructure.
