Courier - Casual

In this role you will be:

• Pick up and deliver items including medical records, laboratory specimens, medications, sterile supplies, interdepartmental mail, and other hospital materials.
• Operate hospital vehicles or walk designated routes to complete deliveries across hospital campuses or external locations.
• Ensure proper handling and security of sensitive, confidential, or hazardous materials, following HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain signatures for all pickups and drop-offs.
• Respond to urgent and stat requests promptly and professionally.
• Reporting any issues or required maintenance on courier vehicles.
• Adhere to hospital infection prevention and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with staff, patients, and the public.
• Assist with sorting, loading, and unloading deliveries as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department leadership.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Experience: N/A
• Licensure/Certification: Valid PA driver's license with no previous violations
