About The Position

Job Title : Cardiovascular Technologist

Profession : Allied Cath Lab Tech

Specialty : Cardiovascular Procedure Technician

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 4x10.0

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience

License : Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, COVID vaccine card showing fully completed COVID series

Must-Have :

• 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or ARRT
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Description :

Cardiovascular Technologists assist with invasive cardiac procedures.

They prepare the procedure room and sterile field for surgical procedures.

This includes the setup of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Technologists must anticipate equipment required during procedures and operate equipment.

They are responsible for maintaining sterile instruments.

Cardiovascular Technologists will function in multiple roles of the procedure team.

Roles include scrub, circulator, and documenter / monitor.

Good organizational skills are a must.

Experience in Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics is essential.

Candidates should have experience with Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, and FlowTriever.

Mechanical circulatory support experience is required, including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and ProtekDuo.

Structural heart experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, and Valvuloplasty is preferred.

Critical care or cardiac experience is required.
