Job Summary for Welder
Ulrich Lifestyle Structures, is looking for a Welder for their Horse Barns Division. The Welder is responsible for Reading blueprints, measuring and cutting and welding materials used in the building of our custom-made sheds, garages, barns, and playhouses. The ideal candidate will have steady hands and great attention to detail.
Job Duties for Welder
- Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications
- Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Operating angle grinders to prepare parts that must be welded
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover any flaws
- Maintain equipment to ensure safety
- Follow all safety precautions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for Welder
Proven experience as a welderProfessional Welding Certification is a plusManufacturing or warehouse production knowledge is a plusStrong attention to detailKnowledge of metallurgyExperience using electrical or manual tools ( squares, calipers, saws, etc.)Knowledge of safety standards and use of proper safety fear (face-shield, gloves, etc.)Must be able to read blueprints and drawingsKnowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG,as well as manual and mechanicalBasic math knowledge including ability to add and subtract in all units of standard US measurements, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to climb a ladder, stoop, bend and kneel for extended periods of timeMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentExcellent attention to detail with ability to be proactive and operate with a sense of urgency.Must work in a team environment with a positive attitudeWork Environment for Welder
Majority of work will take place indoors, but some may be required outdoors with exposure to various weather elements.Must be available for daily overtime and Saturday work when neededMust have reliable transportationBenefits and Compensation for Welder
