Description

Elite Dental Care is hiring a PRN Registered Dental Hygienist. Our team of compassionate, caring, and focused healthcare professionals is interested in talking with you if you are passionate about dental hygiene and helping patients show off their smile every day!

The ideal candidate will :

• Be available to work a varied schedule in both our Germantown and Eads, TN, locations.
• Work individually and cooperatively in a team environment.

• Have the ability to multitask, organize work, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations required for the dental profession (e.g. HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
• Perform dental cleanings (scaling and polishing) to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
• Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including screening for signs of gum disease, cavities, and oral cancer.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed for diagnostic purposes.
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to help prevent tooth decay.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition counseling.
• Provide individualized oral hygiene instructions tailored to each patient's needs.
• Perform periodontal charting to monitor gum health and track changes over time.
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and root canals.
• Document patient treatment records accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and communicate treatment plans to patients.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in dental hygiene techniques, technologies, and regulations through continuing education.
