Position Overview

The Field Engineer plays a vital role in supporting on-site project execution by ensuring accuracy in layout, documentation, and coordination. This position bridges the gap between field operations and project management, serving as a critical link in maintaining communication, safety, and quality control across all phases of the project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to build a long-term career path toward Superintendent or Project Management roles within a proven, reputable commercial builder.

Key Responsibilities

Perform layout and surveying duties to ensure precise construction alignment

Review drawings and specifications to support field implementation and identify discrepancies

Track and manage field documentation, RFIs, and daily reports

Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure schedule compliance and material readiness

Assist with QA / QC verification and field inspections

Support coordination of subcontractors and field crews to maintain workflow and sequencing

Maintain accurate as-built documentation and participate in project closeout processes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

1–3 years of relevant construction or field experience (internships or co-ops acceptable)

Strong understanding of construction documents, layout, and scheduling processes

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Procore (preferred)

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient jobsite
