• Call Schedule : Nights; 4p-8a & Weekends; 24-hr call
• No. of Callbacks : varies; normally only comes in for emergencies.
• No. of Procedures per day : varies from 10-15
• Required Skill :
• With IR general experience is a MUST.
• Required Procedures :
• Diagnostic vascular intervention, Angiography : and Angioplasty : venous & arterial, Therapeutic vascular intervention
• Stenting (venous & arterial), Thrombolytic and Emobolization therapy, Interventional (body, non-neuro)
• Vascular access devices / PICCS, Central lines, Port a cath insertions, IVC Filters
• TIPS, Aspiration / drainage procedures, Percutaneous Needle Biopsies (Above & Below diaphragm, & Bone)
• Extractions (Biliary & Renal), Abscess drainage, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Myelopgraphy, Pain mgmt, Perc. Transhepatic Choleangiogram
• Blood patch, Joint / epidural injections, Vertebroplasty, Arthrograms, Chest tube insertion, Uterine artery embolization
• Liver Y90 / Tace, Gastrostomy tube insertion, Nephrostomy / ureteral stent insertion, Renal fistulograms & Cryoablation
• Preferred : Neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy
• EMR : Epic
