Company Description

We suggest you enter details here.

Are you an emergency veterinarian with several years of experience in the emergency room, but feeling burnt out by long hours, overnight shifts, and stressed-out pet owners?

Urgent Pet is for you!

We are a new concept in veterinary hospitals in the Bay Area, entirely dedicated to urgent veterinary care. We realized that 90% of patients in the ER are not true emergencies. When these cases are triaged, it means a long wait for the pets and their owners, who become increasingly anxious and upset. We designed Urgent Pet to provide an alternative : same-day appointments for urgent care cases, offering the highest standard of medical care, with minimal wait times.

As a veterinarian at Urgent Pet, you can have it all

  • The same breadth of cases you would see in any emergency room
  • The latest diagnostic equipment, and the use of smart pricing to ensure the best diagnostic and treatment plans are followed
  • Daytime shifts and swing shifts
  • A calm and positive working environment, because most patients are seen within minutes of their appointments
  • Fear-free concepts built in throughout the hospital
  • Low staff turnover because our staff love their jobs
  • A high salary competitive with the busiest emergency hospitals, including full health and retirement benefits
  • A doctor-owned company independent of any major corporation we are always open to new ideas
  • A fantastic location in the East Bay with easy parking on site, a fitness center, multiple retail stores close by, in the charming city of El Cerrito, and close to the cities of Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco. There's a reason everyone wants to live in Northern California - we have the sunshine, natural beauty, people, culture, wineries, beaches, and skiing, all minutes to hours away.

We are now expanding our operation and have full-time, part-time, and relief positions for experienced emergency veterinarians. Please join us as we develop a new model of veterinary care in the Bay Area!
