We're seeking a professional with 2-5+ years of accounting experience in construction or restoration environments, along with some leadership experience. Lead day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, job costing, and general ledger oversightExecute timely and accurate month-end and year-end close procedures with complete financial statement preparationCreate and uphold internal controls, accounting procedures, and organizational best practicesOversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and account reconciliation workflowsReview and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting documentsCollaborate closely with Project Managers to maintain precise job costing, billing accuracy, and proper documentationIdentify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to boost efficiency and precisionQualifications
2-5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in construction, restoration, or similar project-focused sectorsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experienceSolid grasp of job costing principles, WIP reporting, subcontractor billing procedures, and project accounting workflowsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation)Experience using accounting platforms (Sage 100 Contractor is a plus); knowledge of industry-specific tools like DASH, Xactimate, or Encircle is beneficialExceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, with proven capacity to juggle competing priorities in dynamic settingsOutstanding communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across all departmentsUnwavering dedication to accuracy, confidentiality, and deadline adherenceCompensation
