Construction Project Engineer- Healthcare

This role provides a unique chance to be stationed onsite at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where you'll gain valuable, hands-on industry experience. The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $80,000, along with an extensive benefits package. While in Cuba, employees receive company-provided housing for themselves and their dependents, a company vehicle, covered utilities, quarterly company-paid trips back home, and eligibility for foreign income exclusion. Additional benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, a Health Savings Account, and Paid Time Off. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Guantanamo Bay.

ROLE OVERVIEW

In this position at RQ Construction, LLC, you will be instrumental in supporting all stages of commercial construction projects from initiation through completion. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including Project Management, Safety, Quality, and skilled trades-to help execute construction activities. Your day-to-day duties will involve coordinating schedules, managing documentation, organizing workflows, and tracking progress to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and meet high-quality standards. This role provides exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design through construction, offering a valuable opportunity to build expertise and contribute meaningfully to project success. Working onsite at Guantanamo Bay, you'll be part of a team committed to excellence in every phase of construction.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

Experience in general contracting is preferred, as it helps establish a strong base for effectively coordinating and managing construction efforts. With the right combination of knowledge, technical skills, and teamwork, you'll play an important role in delivering successful projects while thriving in a collaborative and fast-paced environment at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Required knowledge and skills include:

• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required
• Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Autodesk, BIM, Revit, Oracle)
• LEED credential desirable
• QCM certificate desirable
• Previous work experience in the general contracting field preferred
