ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lufkin, Texas.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM

    • \n

  • Required to work rotating schedule every other week : Week 1 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday), Week 2 (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday)

    • \n

  • Every other weekend requirement

    • \n

  • Holiday shifts required

    • \n

  • Must work assigned schedule - no flexibility in scheduling

    • \n

  • 24-bed telemetry unit with 6 : 1 patient ratios

    • \n

  • Float to all medical / surgical units as needed

    • \n

  • Care for patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, chronic kidney disease, and medical / surgical telemetry conditions

    • \n

  • Must be able to read telemetry strips (telemetry monitor techs available for monitoring)

    • \n

  • Work with CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen equipment

    • \n

  • Strong communication and time management skills required

    • \n

  • PCTs available at 12 : 1 ratio

    • \n

  • Charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators available for support

    • \n

  • Navy blue scrubs required

    • \n

  • Use Paragon charting system

    • \n

  • BLS certification required

    • \n

  • BSN not required

    • \n

  • Unit operates under VIC (virtual integrated care nursing model)

    • \n

  • Complete department orientation for medical / surgical telemetry

    • \n\n
