What You Will Do
The Marketing and Communications Manager is an exempt position that leads the development, execution, and measurement of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that strengthen the Gulf Coast JFCS brand, drive engagement, and support fundraising and programmatic goals. The manager oversees digital marketing, email marketing, CRM list management, content creation, and brand positioning to attract and retain donors, volunteers, and community partners. The role also manages internal communication efforts and provides strategic marketing support to program areas.
Marketing, Brand, and Campaign Strategy
- Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy to develop and execute an annual marketing and communications plan that advances organizational goals.
- Ensure brand consistency and deliver clear, compelling messaging across all channels.
- Plan and run targeted campaigns to increase awareness, engagement, and giving.
Digital Marketing, Website, and Social Media
Lead a dynamic digital marketing strategy to grow visibility through paid and organic initiatives.Oversee the WordPress website, managing content, SEO / SEM, and technical updates for optimal performance.Execute digital campaigns, including building microsites and landing pages, and monitor results.Direct social media strategy and daily content to expand and engage audiences; recruit and manage social media interns.Email Marketing and CRM Management
Design and implement targeted email campaigns to drive fundraising, event participation, and program engagement.Manage the CRM database, ensuring accurate segmentation, data quality, and strategic list use for personalized outreach.Analyze and report on email performance to optimize engagement and conversion.Content Development & Graphic Design
Create and design high-impact content for print and digital platforms, including annual reports, newsletters, emails, brochures, and event materials.Write scripts and oversee the production of videos to highlight programs and impact.Maintain a well-organized photo and asset library, ensuring compliance with release requirements.Internal Communications
Produce a quarterly employee newsletter and support internal campaigns that strengthen staff engagement and alignment.Provide marketing and communications support to program teams, including writing, design, and digital tools.What We Offer

Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least three (3) years of professional experience in communications, digital marketing, or a related field.Plus two (2) years of form or publication design experience utilizing Adobe-based products such as Creative Cloud, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or other professional graphics applications.Digital marketing proficiency, especially working extensively across social media channels.Website management experience with website software and tools, as well as other related electronic and multimedia publishing formats, including social media outlets and Google Analytics, is strongly preferred.Experience with project tracking and reporting is preferred.Experience working in or with non-profits is preferred.Good understanding of marketing principles, including content strategy, distribution, and execution.Ability to transform complex information into simple and effective communications in a visual manner.Good writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Capacity for time management and project accountability, ability to meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects.Ability to think strategically with a positive, collaborative attitude and approach to getting work done.Ability to exercise sound independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple projects and deadlines.Ability to lift and / or carry case files, activity supplies, donations, etc., up to 25 pounds.Must possess the ability to work under stressful situations.Who We Are
