Registered Nurse (Psych Unit) – Glens Fall

Shift : 06 : 45 AM – 07 : 15 PM (36 hours / week, 13 weeks)

Contract Weeks : 13

Facility Overview :

A reputable healthcare facility in Glens Falls, NY, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their Psychiatric Unit . The unit has 25 beds and uses EPIC for charting.

Position Details :

  • Patient Ratio : RN : PT = 1 : 7
  • De-escalation Training Required : Welle, CPI, or PMCS (preferred online course available : NAPPI Training Portal)
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week
  • Call Off Policy : Facility may cancel up to 5 shifts per contract
  • Schedule : Every other weekend and holiday required

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric nursing experience
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Active NY RN license
  • EPIC charting experience (required)
  • Completion of approved de-escalation training prior to start
  • Flu vaccination required (religious / medical exemptions accepted with documentation)

    • Additional Information :

  • Local caregivers (within 50 miles) accepted at $10 below bill rate
  • Candidates who have worked staff roles at GFH in the past year or within the AMC network in the last six months are not eligible
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks
