This is a full-time tenure track position available in the BSN Program. Primary responsibilities include :
- Teaching undergraduate courses in the School of Nursing.
- Advising and mentoring students, serving on departmental and institutional committees.
Essential Job Functions
Planning and preparing course content and curriculum, utilizing assessment and effective teaching methodologies.Demonstrating procedures in nursing skills laboratories, supervising student demonstrations, and evaluating student performances.Collaborating with faculty on curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.Providing classroom instruction and clinical laboratory experiences.Maintaining formative and summative evaluations, providing feedback.Academic advising for nursing majors.Participating in faculty meetings, nursing ceremonies, and disseminating information about the School of Nursing.Qualifications
Preferred : Two years of full-time clinical teaching experience.Knowledge of teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and evaluation or willingness to acquire these skills within the first year.Excellent communication skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, with multitasking ability.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics
Participation in faculty meetings and nursing ceremonies.Participation in dissemination of information about the school.Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
Current unencumbered RN license in Missouri, CPR certification.Master's degree in nursing required.Doctorate preferred.Physical Demands
Adequate eyesight and hearing.Strong communication skills.Ability to participate in laboratory and clinical activities.Travel to clinical sites required.This job description is subject to review and change. Salary : $57,387 per year.
