Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Pre-Owned Vehicle Salesperson to join our high-energy sales team. In this role, you will drive sales of 30-40 used vehicles per month, build lasting customer relationships, and contribute to our dealership’s success. The ideal candidate is a charismatic, customer-focused professional with sales experience and a passion for exceeding targets in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage customers through the full sales process, from initial greeting to vehicle delivery, to sell 30-40 pre-owned vehicles monthly.
- Build rapport with customers to understand their needs, recommend suitable used vehicles, and showcase Toyota Certified Used Vehicles (TCUV) benefits.
- Conduct test drives, present vehicle features, and negotiate deals to close sales while maximizing profitability.
- Collaborate with the finance team to offer financing options and promote F&I products (e.g., warranties, GAP insurance).
- Follow up with prospects and past customers via phone, email, and CRM tools to generate leads and encourage repeat business / referrals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pre-owned inventory, market trends, and Toyota promotions to provide accurate information to customers.
- Ensure all sales documentation is completed accurately and complies with dealership and regulatory standards.
- Meet or exceed individual sales targets (e.g., 8-12 vehicles / month) to contribute to the dealership’s 30-40 unit pre-owned sales goal.
- Participate in sales training and team meetings to enhance skills and stay aligned with dealership objectives.
Qualifications
1-2+ years of sales experience, preferably in automotive or retail sales; prior used car sales experience a plus.Proven ability to build customer relationships and close deals in a competitive market.Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with CRM software and basic computer skills; familiarity with dealership systems (Vin Solutions, Smartpath ) preferred.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer demand.Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and team-oriented mindset.Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Toyota Certified Used Vehicles (TCUV) program.Experience in a high-volume dealership environment (30+ used vehicles / month).Familiarity with local Waterford, MI, market and customer demographics.Benefits
