Aircraft Structures Technician

As a Structures Technician, you will perform heavy structural maintenance and modifications on Boeing B717 aircraft. This role involves repairing and modifying aircraft fuel tanks, spars, aircraft skin, tail sections, fuselages, and more. Per diem available to those who qualify!

Responsibilities:

• Perform heavy structural maintenance on Boeing B717 aircraft.
• Conduct modifications and repairs on aircraft fuel tanks and spars.
• Repair and replace aircraft skin, tail sections, and fuselages.
• Engage in sheet metal fabrication and aircraft modification tasks.
• Perform riveting, sealing, countersinking, and other essential tasks.
• Handle repair work involving doublers, triplers, and stringers.

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in aircraft structures.
• Proficiency in aircraft modification and repair.
• Experience with sheet metal repair and fabrication.
• Capability in fuel tank repair and spar replacement.
• Skills in riveting, sealing, and countersinking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Commercial aircraft experience preferred, but any platform experience considered.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, particularly AOG scenarios.
• Own tools required (tools should be boxed but do not need to be shadowed or etched).

Work Environment:

The work environment is in a hangar, currently operating a day shift from Monday to Friday. Flexibility is preferred as additional shifts may be added, but candidates with specific shift preferences will still be considered.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
