GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Flight attendants' primary responsibility is safety and to adhere to all Part 135 FAR’s (Federal Aviation Regulations) on aircraft. Flexibility is a MUST for this position as well as living within 90 minutes of the Cartersville, GA airport. This is an ON-CALL POSITION. There are no guarantees of scheduled days or hours. Pay varies depending on duties performed (standard pay $375 a day, training $100 a day, etc.).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recite safety briefing verbatim with all the FAR Part 135 Safety requirements.
- Open / close aircraft door with Pilot in Command’s permission and in accordance with procedure.
- Lock and secure baggage in front cargo areas.
- Ensure Part 135 FAR compliance with passenger seat belts, luggage storage, electronics, seat backs, all placards, illuminated signs.
- Responsible for monitoring cleanliness of aircraft daily.
- Mandatory to attend / perform pool survival life raft activities during training.
- Execute additional job duties as assigned.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND / OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Flight attendants must be at least 21 of age.A valid US passport is a requirement.Must be able to pass a thorough background check and drug test.Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.Must be able to attend training and pass the required Part 135 training program, written and verbal tests, competency emergency drills and check ride.Must be organized and able to plan the menu, shop for the items, and create gourmet meals to include a high-end presentation with minimal cooking equipment and space.Must have customer service skills and a high level of attention to detail.Five plus years of experience in either fine dining restaurant or for a Part 91 or Part 135 Flight Department industry.Prefer prior flight attendant experience working domestically and internationally.Prefer completion of Flight Safety, FACTs, or similar training within the past 12 months.Must be able to manage a constantly changing schedule and late night flights.Must be able to fly on short notice (2-4 hours response time) and travel worldwide.Must be able to deploy for up to 30 days or longer at one time if needed.Must be able to acquire a series of immunizations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
