About The Position

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients.
• Prepare operating rooms, ensure proper equipment setup, and maintain sterile fields.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams intraoperatively, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Provide patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and postoperative expectations.
• Monitor patients’ physiological responses during surgery and communicate changes promptly.
• Handle surgical specimens according to policy and regulatory standards.
• Document all aspects of care accurately in Epic EMR.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes when called back.
• Support and mentor staff or travelers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Comply with all facility, state, and federal regulations governing patient care.
