Emergency Response Manager
As the Emergency Response Manager, you will lead the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of GM's global emergency response and workplace violence preparedness programs. You will play a critical role in shaping long-term strategy, driving cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across all GM sites. This role requires strong leadership, policy development, and stakeholder engagement to help ensure GM sites are prepared to respond effectively to threats and emergencies.
What You'll Do
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. A minimum of ten years' experience in physical security (preferably within GM, automotive or manufacturing company). Five years of progressively responsible experience designing and leading security programs or cross-functional initiatives. Strong strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels. Ability to build trust and rapport and to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures. Strong knowledge and / or proven experience in the following areas : Emergency / security operations and planning. Fire and emergency alarm systems. Building relationships and liaising with local emergency services. Conducting emergency drills and tabletop exercises. Developing and writing policies, standards, and procedures.
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least three times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}. The selected candidate will be required to travel
