Logistics Intern

We are seeking a detail-oriented Import Coordinator who excels in determining pertinent parts of import documentation, conducting piece count reconciliation, and ensuring accurate data entry. The role involves looking up and updating arrival notice information, tracing freight as needed, and assisting with updating Cargowise system filters. You will be responsible for creating Delivery Orders and Instructions, obtaining quotes from truckers and warehouses, maximizing profit margins, and obtaining Proof of Delivery. Additionally, you will handle delivery charges and reconcile disputed charges, assist Import CSR with daily functions, and clean up Cargowise system filters as necessary.

Responsibilities :

• Determine pertinent parts of import documentation.
• Conduct piece count reconciliation.
• Ensure accurate data entry.
• Look up and update arrival notice information.
• Trace freight as needed.
• Assist with updating Cargowise system filters.
• Create Delivery Orders and Instructions as needed.
• Obtain quotes from truckers, warehouses, and service providers.
• Maximize profit margins and arrange needed equipment for delivery.
• Obtain Proof of Delivery and reconcile delivery charges.
• Assist Import CSR with daily functions.
• Clean up Cargowise system filters.

Work Environment :

This position requires working 100% onsite in an office environment. The role offers great benefits once transitioned to full-time employment.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cordova, TN.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
