The Admissions & Marketing Coordinato r is responsible for managing the admission process for new residents and developing relationships with hospitals, physicians, families, and community partners to promote the facility’s services. This role ensures a smooth transition for residents entering the facility while actively building the facility’s reputation and census through targeted marketing and outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Admissions :
Manage the full admission process, from initial inquiry to resident move-in.
Conduct facility tours for prospective residents, families, and referral sources.
Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely and smooth resident admissions.
Assist residents and families with paperwork, insurance verification, and financial inquiries.
Maintain accurate and organized admission records and reports.
Communicate regularly with hospitals, case managers, and referral sources to ensure appropriate placement.
Marketing & Outreach :
Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase facility census and visibility.
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources including hospitals, physicians, and community organizations.
Represent the facility at community events, health fairs, and professional networking opportunities.
Create and distribute marketing materials (flyers, brochures, social media content, etc.).
Monitor market trends and competitors to support facility growth initiatives.
Assist with reputation management, including monitoring online reviews and responding as appropriate.
Collaboration & Communication :
Work closely with the Administrator and clinical team to align admissions with resident care needs.
Participate in daily or weekly census development meetings.
Provide regular updates on census trends, referral activity, and marketing efforts.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, or business development (SNF or healthcare preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups.
Knowledge of healthcare insurance, Medicare / Medicaid, and long-term care services preferred.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM / marketing software.
