Description : Job Summary :

The AQT Instructional Liaison will professionally guide cohorts who have been charged with a crime or are otherwise demonstrating pre-delinquent behaviors. AQT Instructional Liaison will assist cohorts with the knowledge of gaining employment and model on-the-job work experience.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Assesses each cohort situation and needs based on willingness to return to their communities and gain skillful employment / trade.
• Identifies a variety of resources and methods to help cohorts avoid committing more crimes and provides opportunities to assist them in becoming responsible citizens.
• Coordinates a variety of services such as crisis intervention, educational services and youth mentoring.
• Acts as liaison with cohorts regarding employment and / or vocational training.
• Sets guidelines for the behavior and actions of cohorts and recommends removal from program when those expectations are not met.
• Establishes and maintains detailed monthly records for each cohort; evaluates behavior during classroom interactions and makes related recommendations to AQT Admin team.
• Educates and informs the cohorts on youth programs and services available in the area or their area they will be released to.
• Maintains current knowledge and list of community resources and services available to assist and rehabilitate juveniles and their families.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
