Job Description Summary
Responsibilities and duties include developing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy, ensuring the safety of facilities, managing and training security staff, overseeing equipment maintenance, and collaborating with internal and external agencies. The position also involves managing budgets, strategic planning, and representing the system to outside organizations. The Vice President, Protective Services, will ensure the safety of associates, providers, patients, visitors, and vendors, managing almost 450 Protective Services associates and securing approximately 5 million square feet of physical space.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. CSP - Certified Safety Professional - Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Minimum 15 years of experience in senior level security or law enforcement management, preferably in a multi-site organization. Strong knowledge of personnel management, criminal law, and safety regulations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and business management skills. Ability to articulate security and budgetary initiatives effectively.
Specialized Knowledge
Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) Peace Officer certification and other associated law enforcement training is a plus.
