Our highly trained teams provide 24 / 7 industrial cleaning, hydro blasting, vacuum truck services, and specialized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and full turn-key turnaround services. We also manage waste handling, transportation, and disposal in strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Position Overview
As Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our employees and job sites. Youll set and enforce safety standards, lead training programs, and monitor compliance across operations. Your efforts will help create a proactive, safety-first culture and support the ongoing growth and success of GEIR.
Essential Functions
- Conduct regular field inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and implementing safety programs and procedures.
- Lead safety training sessions for employees at all levels.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training, and safety activities.
- Collaborate with supervisors and employees to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Ensure proper and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to safety policy development.
- Monitor staff compliance with health and safety laws.
- Assess equipment and machinery for safety risks.
- Develop and implement plans to improve workplace health and safety.

Associate or bachelors degree in occupational safety & health, Environmental Science, or related field required.Safety certifications preferred.Experience in a safety-related role, ideally within an industrial maintenance environment.Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.Strong observational, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Valid drivers license with a clean 3-year motor vehicle record.Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.Pay
