The Role
We are seeking a high-impact, entrepreneurial Associate Market Leader who is committed to learning the responsibilities and functions of a Market Leader. This individual will play a key role in building, growing, and managing our Boston brokerage office. The Associate Market Leader position is a 24-month developmental role, with the expectation that, upon successful completion of the program, the individual will be promoted to Market Leader and assume full responsibility for running their own office.

Identify and recruit experienced brokers, recent college graduates, and career changersManage full-cycle recruiting : sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboardingPartner with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of new hiresTraining & Agent Development
Conduct Monday Meetings, weekly workshops, and activity reviewsOversee mentor-mentee relationships and certificationsDeliver ongoing coaching and strategic business development sessionsPerformance Management
Monitor agent activity ratios including call volume, proposals, listings, escrows, and closingsTrack pipeline activity, ensure adoption of Matthews tools and resources, and review listing agreementsSet individual agent goals and execute improvement plans as neededRevenue & Office Growth
Manage office revenue goals and productivity benchmarksAlign agent deployment strategy to maximize product and geography coverageParticipate in senior agent recruiting and expansion effortsQualifications
Required :2-5 years in commercial real estate brokerage as an agentExperience preparing for and making cold callsProven success in recruiting, mentoring, or managing sales teamsStrong understanding of real estate fundamentals and different product types and service lines (investment sales, leasing, debt origination, retail, multifamily, industrial, office, self-storage, etc.)Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work early hours, late evenings, and weekends as neededWillingness to relocate to New York City for the first 6-12 months of tenure at Matthews for initial training (financial assistance provided)Preferred :Leadership experience at a brokerage or real estate firmFamiliarity with CRM and ATS systemsStrong business acumen and P&L understandingWhat We Offer
