Blue World is looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to start in our Houston, TX office. We are looking for a candidate with experience operating hydraulic excavators, dozers, and loaders in varying soil conditions, working varied shifts in the field under various climates. Experience with excavators from mini to 80,000 lbs. excavating trenches for pipes / conduits, foundations, loading haul trucks, light clearing / demo, minor grading and similar tasks is preferred. This position requires a person willing to be a "jack of all trades," in that operator experience is necessary, but the ability to hop off the machine and work within the crew performing other tasks such as maintenance, prep, clearing / cutting, pipe installation above / below ground, welding, minor carpentry, HDPE fusion and other field construction tasks is required. The ideal candidate must also have an excellent work ethic, a willingness to learn new skills, have a team mentality, and be safety-oriented in all situations and environments. The compensation for this position, while commensurate with operating experience, can pay more than most due to the need to do more than just operate equipment.

Qualifications :

• Construction Experience5 years minimum
• The ability to operate various types of bulldozers, excavators, and front loaders is required
• Driver's LicenseRequired and in good standing; CDL preferred
• Educationhigh school or equivalent required; training & certifications HDPE pipe fusion, equipment operation, welding and / or rigging preferred
• Certifications in OSHA 30Hr, OSHA 40Hr 1910.120 HAZWOPER preferred
