KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist, Database Administrator to join our Managed Services practice.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with software architects, and developers to design databases that meet project requirements; develop database structures, procedures, and data standards
  • Design and implement data models, and data integrations strategies.
  • Oversee data management tasks such as data loading, data backup / recovery, data replication, and database tuning
  • Monitor databases to optimize database performance and diagnose issues. Manage database log review and implement database optimization strategies
  • Implement and maintain security policies. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard the database
  • Collaborate with other team members, IT departments, and leadership. Report on database management and performance; leverage generative AI technologies to enhance data processing workflows and improve data-driven decision-making strategies within database management practices
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications :

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in managing and administering enterprise-level databases, preferably in an agile scrum environment
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a strong technical understanding of Database Administration in Cloud platforms with focus on RDBMS and NoSQL flavors of database offerings like MSSQL Server (IaaS), Azure SQL DB (PaaS) and Cosmos DB(PaaS); Certification related to Database offerings in Cloud is preferred
  • Experience / knowledge of supporting and tuning ETL / ELT processes.
  • Responsible for Database security requirements and best practices leading to fulfill Audit requirements like (SOC / PCI etc.) and vulnerability management.
  • Great problem-solving and technical skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with benefits, risks and challenges) while providing thought leadership to stakeholders in solving critical technical problems; Possess strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes
  • Ability to travel as required
