Assistant Director Of Office Of Academic Services And Institutional Support
Touro University Nevada (TUN) seeks an energetic, talented, and goal-driven professional for the Assistant Director of Office of Academic Services and Institutional Support (OASIS) position within the Division of Student Affairs. This position reports to the Director of OASIS. The Assistant Director of OASIS will work collaboratively with the Division of Student Affairs staff, the University faculty, and academic programs, and will support the Director to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Office of Academic Services and Institutional Support (OASIS). The Assistant Director of OASIS position exists to provide services that maximize the success, retention, and graduation of COM and CHHS students. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the University's core values of intellectual pursuit and service to humanity through their work.
Located in Henderson, Nevada, approximately twenty-five minutes from the iconic Las Vegas strip, Touro University Nevada is a non-profit medical, health sciences, and education graduate university focused on positively impacting our community in healthcare and education. Responsibilities
- Assist with the reporting for the tutoring program.
- Participate in the training of work study tutors.
- Manage the assignment of tutors and others in the OASIS institutional account.
- Work with the Operations Coordinator to provide training, coaching, and oversight for tutors.
- Supervise one or more OASIS team members.
- Experience in working with students from differing backgrounds; Displays a welcoming attitude towards all members of the community.
- Support the office of OASIS by providing services related to APA and editing papers.
- Support the Director in meetings and committee work.
- Support and assist faculty and staff in the COM and CHHS with academic performance committee work.
- Support the Director as needed in department and division assessment for student learning outcomes and other institutional needs.
- Builds surveys, analyzes data, writes reports, and connects campus resources for campus-wide support.
- Support Director and OASIS with software vetting, demos, and proposals for potential software contracts.
- Act as the representative of the Director of OASIS when needed; Serves in the Director's place when the Director is absent and or as noted by the Dean of Students.
- Teach and develop Learning Strategies workshops; Provide campus wide and individualized program presentations as determined by the Director.
- Provide students with strategies for how to efficiently study based on their own learning preferences, including how to improve or adapt their own strategies for different courses.
- Assist faculty and staff in the COM and CHHS to identify students who need counseling or other referrals.
- Knowledge of ADA processes and assisting the ADA Learning Specialist with processing student accommodations; Assists with this process as requested.
- Assist with Commencement, White Coat, and or other university ceremonies.
- Uphold policies and procedures in the university catalog and program handbooks.

- Provide exceptional service and be able to articulate the mission and values of Touro University Nevada.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Flexible hours if necessary, evenings, and Sundays.
Qualifications
Education :
Master's degree required (Science, Health Science, Education, or related field preferred)Experience :
