We are urgently seeking a Payroll Administrator with advanced experience in ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN) and a strong background in nursing or healthcare payroll . This is a key position based in Torrance, CA with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the Role :

This role focuses on managing multi-state payroll , ensuring compliance with labor and healthcare-related wage regulations, handling benefit deductions , and supporting onboarding for healthcare staff . Experience working in a nursing, healthcare, or staffing environment is a major plus.

Key Responsibilities :

Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and 1099 employees across multiple states

Specialized experience processing payroll for nurses and healthcare professionals (including variable shifts and differential pay)

Review and verify timekeeping records and ensure compliance with wage laws

Administer benefit deductions accurately and according to policy

Support onboarding by setting up payroll and benefits for new hires

Generate accurate payroll reports for audits and year-end processing

Use ADP WFN, Asure Payroll, NOVAtime, and QuickBooks to manage payroll data

Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and healthcare industry standards

Work closely with HR, leadership, and nursing departments to address payroll matters

Qualifications :

5 or more years of payroll experience, including multi-state processing

Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now

Prior experience in nursing, healthcare, or medical staffing payroll strongly preferred

Knowledge of differential pay, shift premiums, and healthcare scheduling

Strong understanding of payroll compliance and labor laws

Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Windows and Mac OS

Excellent attention to detail, discretion, and communication skills

Preferred Education and Certifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus
