Position Overview
The Assistant Manager supports and executes all aspects of park operations, including guest services, food & beverage, training, staffing, and day-to-day operational performance. This leader works closely with the General Manager and ownership team to reinforce Altitude's brand standards, operational excellence, and positive culture.
The Assistant Manager is a hands-on leader who sets the tone for exceptional guest experiences, team development, and a consistently safe, clean, and high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities
General Operations
Support the GM and ownership team in daily operational oversight.
Coach, motivate, and communicate effectively with a large, diverse team.
Manage operational departments including Front Desk, Court Monitors, Party Hosts, Food & Beverage, and Janitorial.
Ensure operational and cultural standards are upheld consistently across the park.
Maintain accurate inventory processes, financial reporting, and facility logs.
Oversee labor standards, scheduling, and spending within park guidelines.
Track purchases and ensure spending aligns with budget and park policies.
Build a culture of accountability, consistency, and positive performance.
People Leadership
Set clear expectations for performance, behavior, and adherence to brand standards.
Ensure high-quality training and ongoing development for all team members.
Foster a positive, supportive work environment that promotes retention.
Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business needs and seasonal demands.
Recognize and reward high-performing team members; take corrective action when needed.
Identify and develop high-potential employees for advanced roles or promotions.
Sales & Business Performance
Execute local sales, marketing, and promotional plans in collaboration with the support center and GM.
Help manage the business plan to meet or exceed financial targets.
Communicate departmental goals, track progress, and hold team leaders accountable.
Support membership growth initiatives, party sales, special events, and community outreach.
Guest Experience
Ensure every guest receives an exceptional, on-brand Altitude experience.
Address guest feedback directly and use it as a tool for team coaching and improvement.
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment across all attractions and common areas.
Lead by example during peak hours with a visible, hands-on leadership presence.
Qualifications & Skills
2+ years of leadership experience in entertainment, hospitality, retail, food & beverage, or similar guest-facing industries.
Strong ability to recruit, motivate, coach, and retain top talent.
Positive leadership style with a genuine interest in team member growth.
Able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with frequent distractions.
Must be able to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly.
Demonstrated ability to meet financial goals and manage labor / spending.
Professional, dependable, and able to lead by strong example.
Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
Safety-focused mindset and commitment to upholding all operational standards.
