The Opportunity
This isn't a back-office CFO role. As our Chief Financial Officer, you'll be the financial architect and strategic partner who ensures Spyder grows profitably, sustainably, and in alignment with our vision. You'll sit at the executive table, influencing strategy, guiding decisions, managing risk, and strengthening capital relationships to support rapid growth.
Location : Littleton, CO (with multi-state operations) Compensation : $225,000 $275,000 annually + possibility for profit sharing & performance bonuses
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a key member of the executive team, advising on growth opportunities and risk management.
- Partner with ownership on long-term strategy and national expansion.
- Drive initiatives that maximize enterprise value and prepare for acquisitions or exit opportunities.
- Represent Spyder externally in industry, banking, and peer networks.
Financial Management
Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting with clear accountability.Maintain strong margins while supporting revenue growth.Build forward-looking dashboards and KPIs that link job-level execution to company results.Oversee accounting, audit, tax, and treasury functions.Capital Strategy & Risk
Own banking, bonding, insurance, and financing relationships.Design capital structures to fund growth and acquisitions.Assess and mitigate risks across contracts, compliance, and disputes.Operational & Process Excellence
Implement scalable systems to support multi-state operations.Strengthen job costing, WIP reporting, and project financial reviews.Partner with operations to improve efficiency and cost control.Lead ERP / finance system selection and rollout.Leadership & Culture
Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.Develop future leaders as part of succession planning.Raise financial literacy across the organization.Model values-based leadership and accountability.What We're Looking For
10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including CFO or SVP-level roles.Experience in construction, restoration, or other project-based industries.Proven success driving growth across multi-state operations and / or preparing for M&A / exit.Deep knowledge of financial strategy, capital markets, and growth financing.CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred.Our Values
