Job description

Role : ABAP Developer

Requirements : Looking for a developer with ABAP experience of more than 5 years, must have worked on multiple SAP implementations.

Development and Implementation :

  • Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs : Using object-oriented ABAP programming, they create new applications and enhance existing SAP functionalities.
  • Create and maintain OData services : Building and managing OData services for data access and integration, enabling communication between SAP systems and other applications.
  • Develop and optimize CDS views : Creating and optimizing Core Data Services (CDS) views for reporting, analytics, and serving as a data source for OData services.
  • Utilize SProxy for service integration : Generating proxies using SProxy to facilitate the integration of external systems.
  • Implement SAP Enhancement Framework : Using enhancements like BADIs, user exits, and customer exits to customize standard SAP functionalities.
  • Work with SAP Data Dictionary objects : Creating and managing database objects within the SAP Data Dictionary.

Collaboration and Analysis :

  • Collaborate with functional teams : Working closely with functional consultants and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues : Debugging and resolving complex technical issues within SAP applications and interfaces.

    • Documentation and Quality Assurance :

  • Document technical designs and procedures : Creating and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions.
  • Perform unit testing and support integration testing : Ensuring the quality and performance of developed solutions through testing.
  • Participate in code reviews : Providing feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

    • Expertise and Skills :

  • Strong ABAP programming skills : Especially in object-oriented ABAP.
  • Proficiency in CDS views and OData services : Creating, maintaining, and optimizing these components.
  • Experience with SProxy and integration techniques : Utilizing SProxy for integration and working with other techniques like BAPIs, IDocs, and RFCs.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 : Developing modern user interfaces in conjunction with OData and CDS views.
