Responsibilities
- Serve as a facilitator for departmental and / or organizational training within the ambulatory enterprise of the USA Health system.
- Assist in the assessment, development, and delivery of training materials and curriculum for all clinic locations.
- Research and develop multi-media training materials for individual, departmental, and organizational-wide presentation.
- Maintain the training calendar and education resources; work with minimal supervision and help solve problems involving deviation from standard training and EMR practices or procedures; present findings to leadership for resolution.
- Develop and maintain new hire orientation training and guidelines for all positions that work within the EMR to ensure successful system onboarding.
- Use expert-level knowledge of EMR modules and insurance / payer plan contracts and guidelines to develop training materials and answer system and workflow questions.
- Assist leadership in identifying associate training needs and incorporating them into one-time or ongoing training programs based on workflow deficiencies.
- Provide pre- and post-training competency tests to ensure team members have acquired necessary knowledge and skills; grade tests and follow up with team members who score below defined acceptable levels.
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize training methods and materials; continually assess needs and develop training solutions that can be integrated into existing modules or into new modules.
- Refine training curriculum and manage the training environment to ensure an engaging and effective learning experience, with clear ground rules.
- Participate in new practice implementations, identifying and developing new or revised training materials as needed.
- Ensure new users complete all requirements, have appropriate security access to perform their job, and understand HIPAA and confidentiality compliance policies.
- Follow up on associate issues by escalating or researching and communicating resolutions after training.
- Conduct train-the-trainer sessions when needed; maintain regular and prompt attendance and adhere to defined schedules, including overtime as required.
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications
Three years of training, teaching, or directly related EMR and ambulatory experience.EMR certification and experience with Cerner and athena EMR in an ambulatory practice is preferred.J-18808-Ljbffr
