Locums - Rockport, Maine Gastroenterology Opportunity Clinical Role : Coverage Dates : (Must be able to cover at least one of these weeks per month; ideal candidate can cover all dates) November 17-21, 2025 December 8-12, 2025 January 5-9, 2026 January 12-16, 2026 February 2-6, 2026 February 9-13, 2026 February 16-20, 2026 March 2-6, 2026 March 9-13, 2026 March 30-April 3, 2026 April 13-17, 2026 April 20-24, 2026 May 4-8, 2026 May 11-15, 2026 June 1-5, 2026 June 8-12, 2026 Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 00 a.m.-4 : 00 p.m. (8-hour day with 30-minute lunch) Practice Setting : Mix of inpatient and outpatient (clinic and endoscopy) Call : Day call only (7 a.m.-4 p.m.); phone calls may come from the ER or hospitalists regarding urgent procedures (e.g., food bolus, GI bleed) Call blocks are built into the schedule to accommodate these cases No overnight or weekend call Facility & Support : Support Staff : Full OR staff support Anesthesia : Both CRNA and anesthesiologist present for each procedure Onsite Services : Lab and X-ray available EMR : Epic Clinical Details : Patient Volume : 14-16 patients per day in clinic Procedures : Required : Lower GI Endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy Required Upper GI Endoscopy Types : With biopsy With foreign body removal With banding of varices Diagnostic Additional Preferred Procedures : Therapeutic procedures (preferred but not required) Scope of Practice : Primarily adults, outpatient, and inpatient cases as needed ERCP : Not required Advanced Procedures : Preferred but not required No Overtime : Unless pre-approved Qualifications : Board Certification : Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) required Licensure : Active Maine license highly preferred (will consider qualified candidates needing licensure) Certifications : ACLS and BLS required Vaccinations : COVID-19 and influenza required Availability : Must be available full-time and long-term Institutional ADR : Requested at time of name clear What RecruitWell Provides : A-rated malpractice coverage Weekly direct deposit 24 / 7 dedicated recruiter support Professional onboarding and credentialing Prepaid travel and lodging RecruitWell's Core Values : Open communication Sense of urgency Teamwork Accountability Driven to win Higher consciousness
