About AI Institute for Advances in Optimization (AI4OPT)
AI4OPT is one of the 29 National Artificial Intelligence Research Institutes set up by the National Science Foundation to conduct use-inspired research and realize the potential of AI. The AI Institute for Advances in Optimization (AI4OPT) is focused on AI for Engineering and is conducting cutting-edge research at the intersection of learning, optimization, and generative AI to transform decision making at massive scales, driven by applications in supply chains, energy systems, chip design and manufacturing, and sustainable food systems. AI4OPT brings together over 80 faculty and students from Georgia Tech, UC Berkeley, University of Southern California, UC San Diego, Clark Atlanta University, and the University of Texas at Arlington, working together with industrial partners that include Intel, Google, Union Pacific, Ryder, Keysight, Southern Company, and Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Job Summary
Georgia Tech is hiring a research scientist to conduct cutting-edge research in trustworthy artificial intelligence and power systems applications. This position is at Georgia Tech as part of the National Science Foundation AI Institute for Advances in Optimization (AI4OPT). This position requires post-doctoral experience in academia or national labs, a strong publication record in top AI conferences or domain journals, grant writing experience, and coding expertise in Python and Julia. Successful candidates will contribute to research projects and will have the opportunity to write grants, supervise students, and manage projects. This position is also likely to involve collaboration with researchers at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
