Salary Range : $21.67 - $30.48 / hour DOE

Certified Coder / Billing Clerk Responsibilities

• Review and code medical records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Prepare and submit medical and behavioral health claims to insurance companies
• Verify insurance coverage and follow up on pending or denied claims
• Correct errors and appeal denied claims to ensure proper reimbursement
• Assist patients with billing questions, payment plans, and collecting co-pays
• Maintain organized patient files and accurate documentation
• Use NextGen system to review, correct, and manage patient encounters
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues
