Summary
The WestFit Club is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Floor Trainer to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent dual-purpose role designed for a motivated individual who is passionate about launching or building a successful career in personal training.
You will spend a significant portion of your time on the gym floor, serving as a primary resource for our members. Your responsibilities include providing expert assistance with exercise form, answering fitness-related questions, and ensuring a safe, positive, and clean training environment for everyone.
In addition, you will be empowered to establish and grow your own personal training business within our club. You will be responsible for client acquisition, conducting fitness assessments, consultations, developing personalized workout programs, and managing your own schedule.
The ideal candidate holds a recognized personal training certification, possesses strong communication skills, and has a genuine enthusiasm for helping people achieve their fitness goals.

Compensation & Opportunity
This position offers a base hourly wage as a Floor Trainer. The primary goal of this role is to successfully transition to a commission-based Personal Trainer role.
To achieve this, you will have 90 days to achieve a set personal training sales target. This period is designed to give you the opportunity to build your own client base and prove your ability to generate business. After 90 days the weekly floor hours are removed.
Responsibilities
Greet members on the gym floor and provide a high level of customer service.
Circulate the gym floor to actively assist members with proper form, technique, and equipment usage.
Answer member questions regarding exercises, workouts, and general fitness.
Conduct brief fitness assessments and offer guidance to new members.
Actively prospect and sell personal training packages to members on the floor.
Book and conduct complimentary fitness consultations and trial sessions with potential clients.
Ensure all gym equipment is clean, functional, and organized, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
Enforce all gym policies and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
Stay up-to-date on current fitness trends and best practices.
Qualifications
A nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA) is highly preferred.
Previous experience in a fitness-related role is a plus.
Strong sales skills and a results-oriented mindset.
Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and exercise physiology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build rapport with members and motivate them effectively.
Current CPR and AED certifications are required.
A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is a must.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
