Police Officer

Security Officer

Monitor and respond to potential and / or actual security threats.

Assist with investigations, conduct security assessments, and maintain professional standards.

Has authority to arrest for both misdemeanors and / or felonies under applicable law, and provide court testimony as required.

Coordinate with chain of command, internal / external departments and other agencies as needed.

Operate vehicle in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic violations.

Maintain vehicle in a safe and clean condition and promptly communicate need for service or repairs.

May train and educate staff on response and security procedures and other training as assigned.

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following required :

Certification specializing in Peace Officer obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Law Enforcement Certificate obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education :

High school diploma / GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience :

Shall be at least 21 years of age in order to attend the required law enforcement training academy courses.

Additional Preferences :

ILEA Academy Training, Tier I or II preferred.
