Job description

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Physician Assistant for a 182-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio. This opportunity begins on Nov 3, 2025, and features night shifts from 6 : 30pm to 6 : 30am in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). The schedule is flexible, offering options such as 7 on / 7 off or stretches of dates each month. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in a critical care setting. Job Details Location : Ohio Start Date : Nov 3, 2025 LOA : 182 days Provider Type Needed : Critical Care Physician Assistant Schedule : Night shifts, 6 : 30pm to 6 : 30am; schedule is flexible (options include 7 on / 7 off or stretches of dates each month) Responsibilities and Duties Serve as the sole in-house provider during SICU night shifts Manage critically ill surgical patients, including assessment, stabilization, and ongoing care Coordinate with the attending physician who is on call 24 / 7 via phone and available to come in if necessary Respond to emergencies and provide advanced trauma care as needed Document all patient encounters and care activities accurately Participate in patient handoffs and multidisciplinary rounds as required Additional Information Minimum 3 years of experience in a critical care setting required Active Ohio license required Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required Start date may be flexible based on credentialing process Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
