Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing, and overseeing the movement of goods and materials within a company
• Monitoring and managing day-to-day logistics activities, such as scheduling deliveries and troubleshooting delivery issues
• Overseeing inventory control and ensuring the accuracy of all orders
• Negotiating contracts with carriers and suppliers
• Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed
• Managing inventory and coordinating staff to meet business objectives
• Enforcing operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity
• Maintain accurate records and files on shipping documentation
• Communicate with all Kelvion departments, trucking companies, customs brokers, carriers and others involved in the movement of material and shipments

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving departments in all aspects; i.e., supervisory, quality, maintenance, accountability, etc.

Education and / or Experience

Language Skills

Ability to comprehend quality work instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

Basic shop math. Math skills associated with measurement and counting.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to reason logically and develop both practical and creative solutions to problems.
