Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of pediatric acute care experience and current licensure to join an acute setting team utilizing Epic EMR.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in an acute care occupational therapy department with a Level 2 trauma environment
  • Patient caseload includes individuals of all ages with functional, cognitive, developmental, and behavioral impairments
  • Experience with pediatric patients required
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 30am to 5pm, with occasional weekend coverage every 4-6 weeks
  • Electronic charting is completed using Epic EMR
  • Evaluate and design treatment plans to help clients regain or maintain the ability to perform daily tasks
  • Conduct assessments for physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities and develop personalized therapy goals
  • Provide education to patients and families to support functional outcomes
  • Document according to departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements
  • May supervise assistants, aides, or students as needed
  • Orientation is provided by experienced OT and PT colleagues with manager support
  • Must wear grey scrubs or business casual attire while on duty
  • Must badge in and out at the facility
  • Not accepting candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
  • Applicants who previously worked at the facility must have at least a 6-month gap since their last employment

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice is required if applicable
  • Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Current BLS certification is required
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant occupational therapy experience, including pediatric experience
  • Appropriate education in accordance with state licensure
