Join our high-growth team as a Sales Engineer, leveraging your technical expertise to design, specify, and propose advanced solutions for leading clients. This role is ideal for early-career engineers with a strong technical foundation who are eager to transition from engineering into a dynamic, client-facing sales environment.

About the Role

This role involves key responsibilities that include technical solution design, value engineering, quoting and documentation, client engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Solution Design : Develop system layouts and configurations for UL508A control panels, UL891 switchboards, UL67 panelboards, ATSs, UPSs, MV switchboards, and pad-mount transformers with minimal oversight, utilizing your engineering background to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Value Engineering : Propose alternative solutions to optimize cost, performance, and lead times, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
  • Quoting and Documentation : Lead the quoting process for large-scale or customized projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of documentation.
  • Client Engagement : Act as a key technical advisor to clients by reviewing technical project documents, delivering product and company background presentations, offering recommendations based on project specifications and industry challenges, and attending trade shows and site visits to educate clients about company offerings.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with business development, engineering, production, and senior leadership to support new product lines, target emerging industries, and drive market expansion initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement : Participate in the enhancement of sales tools, processes, and training programs, contributing feedback and innovative ideas to improve team performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience; prior sales experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn and explain complex products to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering thorough and accurate proposals and documentation.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to grow in a high-performance sales environment.
  • Required Skills
