The primary responsibilities of the Health Facility Administrator are to provide oversight, organization, management, and instrumental leadership to this facility. Such leadership is provided within the guidelines of TLC polices and with adherence to all local, state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- LEADERSHIP & EXCELLENCE IN QUALITY CARE - Providing leadership and oversight to all operational departments within the facility. This includes :
Conducting all job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set forth in TLC Management's Code of Business Conduct and applicable federal / state laws and professional standards;
Familiarity with all operational details of the center and providing direction to each department head; respond to their personal and work-related needs, provide direction, and strive to upgrade their role and usefulness;Functioning as the leader and final decision maker for department heads and supervisory staff while encouraging collaborative discussions for facility-wide decisions;Collaborating with the DON and Nursing Leadership to ensure quality patient care is delivered in a timely and safe manner;Striving to achieve zero in-house acquired wounds with daily skin care monitoring;Model integrity and work ethic to department heads; act in the best interest of the facility;Developing and implementing a plan of correction from the annual family satisfaction survey;Developing the management team through compassion and accountability;Performing annual, introductory, transfer and periodic performance monitoring for direct reports, including evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed;Administrative : maintain records, implement systems, and ensure compliance with TLC administrative requirements;Fiscal : utilize financial reports, and assist in creating and executing the facility budgets;Public relations : communicate with residents, families, facility personnel, physicians, and external partners.Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
Must possess specific educational and experience requirements such asHolding a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university;
Licensure as a Health Facility Administrator (HFA) in the state of employment; orIf licensed as an Administrator by another state, be willing to apply for temporary licensure in the state and pass the exam.Must possess administrative, interpersonal and managerial skills such asPassion for organizing and creating a positive atmosphere;
Passion for implementing activities and programs of all kinds;Ability to make independent decisions, handle stressful situations and remain calm during emergencies;Ability to perform basic mathematical processing and understand complex budgets;Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors and the public;Knowledge of administrative practices, procedures and guidelines;Ability to protect the confidentiality of information and comply with HIPAA;Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and a willingness to work with residents at various levels of maturity and function;Ability to adhere to professional ethics inside and outside the facility;Knowledge of computers, email, software such as Word / Excel, and basic office machines.Desired qualifications includeAt least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a nursing home or long-term care organization;
Experience maximizing revenues through private pay, Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care.Job Details
