Machinist - 2nd Shift

WeatherTech Direct is seeking a well-qualified Machinist who specializes in fabricating custom injection mold bases.

Hourly rate starts at $25 / hour or more based on skill set.

As a Machinist, you will

  • Fabricate custom injection mold bases using Haas CNC machines
  • Use CNC machines, manual machines, and other hand and power tools to repair and update mold tools
  • Perform all assigned machine shop operations needed to make mold tools that meet precise specifications
  • Make adjustments to machines to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products
  • Confirm machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, and are well-maintained as well as perform periodic checks on output
  • Follow company safety rules and keep designated work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience operating CNC machines in a tooling / machine shop environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Apprenticeship or certification / associate ’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience building custom injection mold bases
  • Experience using Haas CNC machines
  • Familiar with a variety of CNC machines, manual machines, and hand / power tools
  • Mechanically inclined and should understand basic math
  • Experience using CAM and NX CAM Software a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Authorized to work in the United States
