Job Summary :
The Assistant COO – Financial Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Operating Officer in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for a wide range of financial and operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the business.
Key Responsibilities :
– Supervise and manage the payroll process, including calculating wages, taxes, deductions, and other withholdings accurately and on time.
– Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws governing payroll.
– Coordinate and oversee all tax-related matters associated with payroll, such as payroll taxes, income taxes, and other tax filings.
– Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
– Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
– Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
– Manage the company's banking relationships, including opening and closing accounts, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts.
– Secure loans and financing as needed to support business operations and growth.
– Assist in the development and implementation of operating agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and revising agreements.
– Ensure compliance with operating agreements and other legal requirements.
– Collaborate with investors to secure funding for new projects and business initiatives.
– Present financial proposals and investment opportunities to potential investors.
– Maintain strong relationships with investors and provide regular updates on project progress and financial performance.
Qualifications :
The Assistant COO – Financial Operations Manager plays a critical role in supporting the COO and ensuring the financial stability and growth of the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple financial tasks and responsibilities.
Experience :
– Proven experience working in a finance role, preferably in a similar industry.
– Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.
– Proficient in using financial software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
– Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
