Our company is seeking an experienced and proactiveSenior Property Accountantto manage and direct the in-house financial operations for our multifamily assets in Arizona. The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative approach, sharp attention to detail, and advanced expertise in property accounting. This position requires strategic thinking, adept problem-solving abilities, proficiency with evolving technologies, and the capacity to excel within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete accounting cyclefor multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations.
- Coordinate and supportannual auditsby preparing necessary documentation and facilitating auditor interactions.
- Maintain comprehensive financial records withexceptional organizational skills, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Apply thorough knowledge ofproperty accounting standards, principles, and practices.
- Assist inimplementing and optimizing technology solutionsto enhance accounting processes and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieveorganizational financial goalsand drive operational efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends,forecast budgets, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial transactions, includingrent rolls, expenditures, and revenue recognition.
- Participate in the development and enforcement offinancial policies and proceduresto improve performance and reduce risk.
- Full-cycle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Review and authorizeproperty-related invoicesto ensure timely payment.
- Partner with property managers tooptimize income generation and control expenses.
- Maintain current knowledge ofindustry developmentsand changes in accounting regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelors degreein Accounting, Finance, or related discipline;CPA or equivalent certification preferredbut not required.Proficiency withRealPage Accounting and OneSitepreferred.Minimum offive years experience in property accounting, specifically with multifamily assets.Demonstrated ability to manage theentire accounting cycle, from transaction entry to financial statement preparation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven record ofenhancing financial workflows.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with effectiveness in team environments.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel; experience with property management systems is a plus.Ability to meetstrict deadlinesand perform under pressure without compromising work quality.Comprehensive knowledge oflocal, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.Why Join Us
