What You'll Do : Provide customer service to individuals at the education location by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or identify potential concerns. Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Assist visitors, staff, and students with directions and information as needed while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior. Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies. Minimum Requirements : At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
